Rome was not built in a day and neither were these utterly exquisite pieces. Pegasus, the winged divine stallion, is one of the most recognised creatures in Greek mythology and is also the child of the Olympian god Poseidon. And what a magnificant depiction made here, in these one of a kind, hand-etched Rome inspired earrings.
Intaglio jewellery is the ancient art of carving images into a stone or precious metal. It has been popular thoroughout history and can be found in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman arts. It was revived during the Italian Renaissance and again in 18th and 19th century Europe. We are seeing a huge surge in its popularity now...
Each earring is beautifully hand crafted and carefully encased in a gold frame which has been detailed with four delicate cz 'diamonds'. Adding a touch of oppulance, we have introduced our signature Baroque pearl which softens, compliments and enriches these already regal earrings.
We have many spectacular colours, these earrings are solid sterling silver with 18ct gold platiing. The entire length of the earring is 5cm from the hook, the oval glass stone is 2cm wide and each cz is 2mm in diameter. The Baroque Pearl is 1cm in diameter.
